(Low priced anyway.) I'd love a pump even slightly taller than the new SS or LF pumps too. You gotta remember, the kite companies don't make these pumps, they buy off the shelf units. Tooling cost would be way to high to justify making their own pumps. Your options: 1. Get one of the taller pumps like I mentioned. Take the top seal off of the piston and you'll probably be reasonably satisfied. This is the cheapest & easiest solution. GI Joes is probably selling these for $10 or $20. 2. Take an off the shelf pump & add an extension on the bottom. Pretty easy to do. 3. Get one of the spendy pumps. 4. Make your own pump. 5. Use a CO2 or compressed air inflator. 6. Get an Electric Pump. You're right, pumping big kites is a pain. Way worse in '04 when kites didn't have the low end they do now. My main kite was a 19m fuel; made pumping up a 15m seem like a breeze. CO2 makes pumping up big kites a LOT more pleasant. If you don't want to go that route, Try option 1 above. If that's not quite enough, add option 2. Have fun! As far as I remember it was basically just a block of wood. I guess the problem would be to hold the pump with your feet, I guess you can make a gap and the bottom. When I had back problems I bit the sour apple and bought an electric pump. I like it a lot. Not so... Coleman makes a great little pump (about $25 at Wal-mart) that will fill the volume of a 15m kite in about 35 seconds. It won't pressurize the kite, but it will fill the volume. That's about 2/3 of the pumping... Not a big deal on a 7m, but a huge deal on a 15m. It's a rechargeable pump & not too big at all.
