Hey Everyone, I know some of you are in SPI and have some good hookups. I'm looking for a good place to stay for a family with a newborn. We need a kitchen and good working high speed internet access as I'm planning on working from SPI while we're there. We'll be in the area for three weeks, from April 19th through May 11th but are planning on being in SPI for two weeks of that time for the Kite Round-Up. Let me know if you know of any good places to stay!
Is the Bolstad homestead available for rent? |

Check out windsurftheboatyard.com. Jibber has a 1 bedroom apartment and a 2 bedroom house. How much are you wanting to spend ? I will check on some other places also.
We need to hook up so I can give you those marinated chicken fajitas

Our place is occupied and so is the motor home during most of that time. We'll check around and let you know what we find. Give us a couple of days. Have to work and squeeze in a downwinder today!

vrbo.com is a good resource, there are also a few vacation rental clearing houses dedicated to SPI you can find if you google a bit.
Lots of cheap options this time of year...

This place is nice and has a good deal going for the event and a pool for the wife and baby to enjoy. There are some other lodging deals on the spikiteroundup page too. www.spikiteroundup.com
We just got off the water (downwinder) with some huge waves (15ft+) and 6m kites. We've been kiting about 6 out of 7 days since mid march and every wind direction both flat water and waves. You'll love it here. Glad you're coming down. |

Sweet, we got our tickets booked, now we're just trying to decide on a place. We're going to fly into San Antonio, hang out with the family, and hit Texas Ski Ranch until the Forecast looks good. I'm thinking about entering the Slider Competition, anyone know how their park is coming along?
Damn rental SUVs for 3 weeks are pricey! |
