Hey guys I tried a search and couldn't find the exact answer to my ?'s so....the deal is that I found a quiver of Helix and Cult's (two different ad's) for a decent price. $1200 for 7.9, 9 and 12 with 2 bars and lines all in mint shape for the Cult's and $600 for a 9 and 12 Helix both in good shape with bar/lines. Has anyone rode both? Does anyone have any input on either one? I've never flown either, I'm kind of a noob and I've only flown my prone-to-inverting Turbo Diesels. I haven't heard anything bad about the Cults and heard nothing about the Helix so any comments or info on either kites would be cool. Thanks-Lance

Lance,

Ultimately kites are user preference and no matter what anyone says it comes down to how you like them and how they meet your needs as a kiter. If the kites are local, take them out for a quick session and see how they are. If they aren't local or if the seller won't let you fly them..... don't buy them.

it's true, I am kiting right now it's just that I got rid of my TD's and have read some favorable reviews on the Cults and with what I've got for my TD's and a bit extra the deal on the Cults seem pretty good. I just don't want to sink even a penny into kites that invert like my my TD's did. Also, reading reviews online is cool but most of them are done by the mags or people who may be a bit biased. It seems that the opnions that are real are guys on the forums or people you know or have met that have flown or currently fly the kite you want.

Lance,
Either kite setup would be good for you. I am assuming these are 08 kites. If they are, I would buy the Cult setups. They have great low end and are very forgiving kites. The Helix are more of a higher end performance kite. Very quick and fast kites. They also boost very high, but you need be flying them all the time.

Long story short... you would be happy with either but I would lean towards the cults.

Adam you are right.... I was out at rooster getting a sess. Thumb's Up
