Just curious as to what works the best in the Gorge and along the coast.
I am currently with Verizon and it has been satisfactory. Thinking about going with AT&T and an iPhone. Mostly interested in iKitesurf wind reports.
I would also like to be able to make Skype calls and send Texts as I have a lot of international calls that are spendy with Verizon. Does Skype work in the iPhone over the 3G net or is it just a wiFi thing?
Any opinions on which provider has the best service in the Gorge and along the coast?

I've only ever been on AT&T, but I'm totally happy with it. Some of my Verizon friends have switched back to AT&T because of Verizon's crazy data/text rates.
As far as Skype goes... It works perfectly fine on my WM6 Treo Pro running 3G when you've got a good signal, but it is still recommended to use WiFi. |

Switched to ATT last year and bought an iphone and I couldn't be happier. So far hadn't had any major connectivity issues and ATTs signal seems to be pretty solid along most of the gorge! I don't think skype is iphone compatible yet as I tried downloading skyp's software on my iphone's SAFARI without success!! I love ATTs rollover minutes! I got so many minutes from past months I don't know what to do with them. Wish I could sell them to someone and get some extra cash toward a new kite quiver!! Now that would be super sweet phone deal!!!!

VZ doesn't have 3G in the Gorge, though not sure the others do either.
Waiting for my Sprint contract to expire so I can go ATT/Iphone  |

No really I just found it on Friday, free Skype app and no fees.
I have not down loaded it so I am no help with quality of usage.
