So whats the deal with this...I just got these from Gorge Performance less than 1 year ago and I probably adjusted them about 6 times....So about a month ago...I see this...they are falling apart...Anyone else with the same problem...? Am I doing something wrong..?
These straps are pimpy and very comfortable but at this rate, I don't think these will last me through the summer for sure....Do I need to get out the scotch tape on a pair of straps that I paid over 130 bucks - less than 1 year ago...? Kinda bumbed about this...!!!
Whats the life expectancy on these things anyway...?

tony,
i actually have the exact same setup and had the same thing happen last month.
adjusting it because I use two different pairs of booties during the winter season and it ripped right on the beach.
I just went out anyways and had it flopping around while I rode.
I ended up repairing it with some seam grip I had leftover from a wetsuit repair.
Not as much as an issue in the summer time when you hardly adjust your straps.
I'm sure if you hit up tekko, he'd resolve it in an instant. he stands behind his products.

tony,...There is a very easy and quick fix, But you will need an industrial sewing machine that does a straight stitch.
if you look at the stitching of the strap you will see they only went around the very outside one time and the stitching becomes frayed and loose very quickly along the velcro. What i did is sew the crap outta that thing about a million times across the enitre strap so that it will never happen agian.....I like to think of it as "americanized"
I'm sure L.F. will replace anything regarding faulty craftsmanship.

I guess for a temporary fix, the stitch and glue thing might work...
I'm not sure if Pepi could help me since I purchased these at Gorge Performance...
My wish list....to get a replacement pair....
Like I said, I don't even remember adjusting these all that much...
My old man does car upholstery - showed him the straps and he said
he thinks it's a combination of moisture and poor thread....
Hmmm, aren't these things designed for the water...
Well, I'm not going to worry about this too much...I'm just kinda curious to see if anyone else has this problem...

I'd shoot for a warranty, it looks like they're ripping at the seam which would go under manufacture warranty in some companies, but I have no idea how Liquid Force conducts their business

| I bet Airtime could stitch those up for you. I could see if any of my buddies at DaKine could run them through their sewing machines as well.

Tony.
Sorry for the trouble.
Luckily Liquid Force stands behind all of our products %100 and will gladly replace this faulty pair of straps for you.
We sell thousands of these each year with less than 1% warrantee rate. Sometimes things happen, when it does, it makes us really easy to identify the problem and take care of it for you. No worries, no hassle.
Please email me these pics at tekko AT liquidforce.com and let me know which is more convenient for you, 2nd Wind in Hood River, or Gorge Performance in Portland. You can drop off your bad pair and pick up a new set from the guys at either shop on the spot.
Thanks for supporting Liquid Force!

Tony,
in the mean time, if you have to ride the straps, You can hold them together with a little mayonnaise and white bread

| Ive never owned LF products and I dont even live in the States but when I hear of company reps standing behind their products like I see here, I think its pretty reputable! I will def. consider LF in the future. I wish all companies believed in their product this much.

Everyone - this is exactly why you should shop local...You help them and they will help you. Nowing a company stands behind there product 100% is enough reason to say you are buying a quality product...
I might have gotten a bad batch...regardless, I'm always going to ride the LF Lux straps as I believe these are some of the most comfortable straps in the market.
Thanks Tekko....

Hi Tony - If you run into any issues or have a hard time getting ahold of Tekko (sometimes he's on the road a lot), let us know and we'll be glad to help you out.
Just call the shop and speak with Nate, Mike or Myself to get you taken care of.
LF and Tekko pretty much always have us covered 100% of the time.
As for any issues with the Lux straps, we have only warranteed, maybe one pair, out of almost 80 pair sold in the last two years. So, this was likely a flukey blem and should be taken care of.
Thanks
Pepi

Gees...
Talk about awesome customer service.....
So last year, a board broke on me...I took it to 2nd wind and bamb - it got replaced...no questions asked...Pepi even hooked me up with a loaner until I got the board I wanted...
Next thing, the straps go out on me...and now 2nd wind has my back...
Seriously, I cann't see how some people would buy stuff else where when you got your locals supporting you 100%....
Just something to consider next time anyone else needs gear..
