NWKite would like to help The Slider Project build it's upcoming Fun Box feature. The Fun Box feature will have something for all skill levels. The FunBox is going to cost around $8900 dollars to complete. The Slider Project is raising money through selling brandable areas. There are nine total areas available ranging in cost from $400 to $2000. NWKite is going to sponsor the biggest area it can afford through donations, but our current goal is $500 for the section labeled "7" below. If we can reach this goal, we get to brand that section with the NWKite.com logo.

If any of you would also be interested in sponsorship of a section for your business please contact Forrest or Joby at sliders@sliderproject.com for more information.

If you would like to donate to the NWKite FunBox Sponsorship fund please paypal sliders@sliderproject.com. Forrest will keep this thread updated with current donations and how close we are to reaching our goal!

This is a very awesome and ambitious project for us and we're already $1000 invested. We already have the floating base complete. It's two twenty foot pontoons, framed with wood and aluminum. I'll post a picture of it soon.

If any of you kite companies are interested in a section to brand, please let us know at sliders@sliderproject.com. We can take gear donations or cash.

Can you tell us what the terms of our corporate sponsorship will be? How long will it run, maintenance, etc?

Hmmm, is it worth it to sponsor a section just to paste a big friggin unicorn on there?

I'll throw some cash your way for sure though. You guys should throw a fund raising party...IN PORTLAND. Thumb's Up

What about a preseason winch party/session at Hood River. We could feature some of the old sliders and kickers and charge a general admission to session them along with some lessons for apprehensive beginners. Could be a great way to generat stoke for the new features. I would even donate a keg for the event, and maby someone could donate some burgers and dogs for a cookout.

Just a thought.

well I can certainly see the merits of letting the unicorn fade into memory, throwing the unicorn in the garbage along with uneaten fish would have disastrous karmic effects. Besides, it seems that the longer the unicorn stays around, the better the WTF?? value gets.

I love the idea of a slider/winch clinic and party!!

$25 from Kitebroad! Looks like we're going to have some girls showing up the boys this year.
