My friend, Matt Beard, is an incredible artist.
Thought I would give him some respect by showing off his work on here and I think most on here would respect it.
If you have ever been held under by waves ---check out the one titled DEEP.
Definitely a NW ocean feel to all of them.

Yeah....
Matt made those paintings for the Surfers Journal---called the Shoebox Series.
And before the mag even went to print a guy in Humbolt county bought up all 9 of the paintings for $2500 each.
The prints look seriously amazing...way better than on the computer obviously. |

Good on ya!
I love the Deep in a too familiar, scary kind of way. All evoke our beautiful north coast but shoebox 6 is like a dream day at Shorties.
Next time I'm in Astoria I am gong to head over for those two prints and check out the gallery, Scott. Thanks for the stoke!

I have two of each of those prints left....out of 25.
I can always ship you one too if you buy off the site.
The 12x16 price is a little off though----it should be $60....fixing that this weekend.
DEEP is 12 x 36 and $85 and it is priced correctly on the site.
The print looks so much better in person---color never looks as good on a monitor.
I think we all do our water sports for the rush AND the amazing views we get to see.
I try to find artists who grab those moments well....

Anybody know the name of the artist who did work for Gorge Performance, I can't recall his name but his art is really good, and similar to this.

It may have been Spencer Reynolds?
Look on the greenroom site again and look at Spencer's work.
Spencer did t-shirts for Oregon Surf Shop in Lincoln city too....even a kitesurfing shirt. |
