Here are some pics of the beach scene in China. This certainly raises the bar as far as what crowded beaches look like, and also hints at where Oregon beaches sit on the measuring scale. I wonder if anyone has attempted to launch a kite at this China beach?

Actually its Haeundae Beach in Busan, South Korea. The Koreans [especially the women] really try and protect their skin from the sun thus a whole economy of umbrella vendors because of the women. Laughing The umbrellas rent for about 5,000 won each or $3.25 US.

Everyone in Korea takes their yearly vacation the first week of August; the end of the rainy season. 200,000 to 700,000 people visit this beach on any given day in August.

Seems to be a lot of man-purses over there. Probably wear speedo's instead of board shorts. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Wink

thanks for the info carol B!

if you blew 30 knots of wind, and made sure there was plenty of fine grain sand whipping around, the crowd would probably thin out considerably.
