Hey guys. Just wanted to pass the word on to anyone who is not yet aware of the

2nd Annual Superfly Open snowkite event at Powder Mt, Utah.

Check here for all the details: http://www.superflyopen.com/

Just got a heads up from a friend at Powder that they've had over a foot of fresh in the past 24 hours with snow in the forecast to continue through wednesday!!!

Powder Mt kite area is at the top of the Mt, so 9000+ feet. Be concerned with too much wind, rather than not enough for this one!!!

Any NWkiters looking to make a quick escape and fly into SLC to attend the event: I am driving the LF can and have plenty of space. Willing to schlep gear for those who want to come support the event and not pay extra baggage fees!

ba ba ba Bump....

C'mon... no interest? Everyone all snowkited out with back to back events in the west the past 5 weeks???

Even an offering of saving baggage fees to those who want to grab a last minute cheap flight??

Guess we'll have all that light fresh POW (2' in 2 days this week still) to ourselves!!!

Looks epic.
I'm going to be snowkiting in Montana--Mt Haggin. Otherwise I'd be interested.

Would love to go, but will just miss it. Flying in to SLC on Sunday. If you're still there, plan on going skiing/boarding at Park City/Deer Valley Mon/Tues. We have a few HR peeps in town planning on grouping up...the more the merrier if anyone wants to join us.

If your boarding we can go to Park City and meet at the bottom of the Crescent chair at 10am. DV, meet at bottom of Carpenter lift at snowpark lodge 10 am. Deer Valley is skiers only. Powder days, meet at 8:45am. Not sure which day for DV or PC yet. Stay tuned.

Apres cocktails & scooby snacks at our house post DV day or going to the Pig Pen post Park City day.

You can crash at our house if you want to, Greg.

Mel

I guess if you know how to ski and you like snow that hasn't been scaped by knuckle draggers, then its all good. It is one of three mountains in the country - give it a rest and let us enjoy our geriatric freeway in peace. There are plenty of other mountains to choose from for boarders.

Yeah i agree fuck deer valley. Considering skiers make shit way bumpier then snowboarders do, that argument makes no sense. But yeah I wouldnt go to deer valley even if they allowed snowboarding.

Wow. A lot of Deer Valley haters. Obviously you don't ski and don't know DV off piste. That's just fine with me. I'll keep enjoying my waist high, untouched powder without you. Keep elbowing each other in line before the Mtn opens and racing the hike with everyone else to have it all cut up in three runs. Whoo hoo.

Depends on where you go. Whatever. When you end up with creaking cartilage, arthritis & wearing knee braces - we'll see where you go. We'll welcome you with open arms. You only need cat eye vaurnets to enter the club & a warm smile. Oh yeah and ski's... Wink

Cheers!
