| 16 foot swell. Yikes! Could be epic but unicorns are terrestrial animals and they shutters in the face of 20 foot waves.

forecast backed to NE for today, tomorrow looks strong still... as was pointed out, cold, showery but the swell shouldn't be big yet. might be good!

Sorry to dissapoint you, but the NW winds this weekend are not summertime thermal winds from a High to thermal Low gradient. They are associated with an intense wintertime low from the gulf of Alaska and should be accompanied with cold rain and snow levels below 1000 ft. Sounds like bullshit conditions to me for coastal kiting along with the 16 ft wicked storm swell will make it pretty formidable.
Seems like the snowkiting scene should be in full swing this weekend with the Oregon snowkite event down at Great Meadows. Best to keep the kiting in the mountains till things begin to warm up inland for summer coastal northerly winds.

It's the Wind Gods that are dissapointed....with you, and your perpetual sad-sack attitude.
(Nothin against the SOKA event, I hope it goes off for you guys! )
