Hahha, I think the same rules for grabbing Tindy apply to the Hasselhoff grab. They're written on the inside of the portalet at the Sandbar. Just like the ten commandments, only different, haha.
Though, if you're ending a frontmobe with it, it's okay. |

MonkeyBoy, you'll never know till you try. I'm going to be very disappointed in you if I don't see you trying to throw down this year. How are your raleys going?
Have you tried any unhooked backrolls? Backroll to revert? The back to revert is a super easy, yet very rewarding trick, and it's one step in progression towards a backmobe. |

Ive pretty much got the railey wired. unfortunately they are soo easy it doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment. Did some unhooked backs, pretty fun, and not all that different from hooked in (at least I thought).
been practicing my fronts so that I can start trying to get s-bends. Then I would like to work up to a KGB, that looks like a super fun trick. Hitting the gym every week with chooch and working out to get some handlepass strength.
My tendons are sooo sore today. |

Well Jake, if you could keep a beer out of your hand long enough, you could hit the rock gym with us. |

Yea, the basic raley gets old after a while. I think you should work on raley to blind and then back to blind as a pre-req for KGBs.
I would love to help you out with the raley to blind. It took me so freaking long to get those dialed, I think I can help just about anyone learn it a lot quicker. I have only landed a few backs to blind, but I can imagine KGBs happening this season.
Joby is full of great advise as well, but ya got to ask him for it. |

yeah, the railey to blind is on the hit list as well. Tried like 3 or 4 at the end of the season. I slammed down so hard on my back one time I almost bit my freaking tongue off. |

this was my first unhooked move and still one i do regularly
anyways, I felt a huge difference between the hooked-in ones and the unhooked ones... If you are keeping your kite low enough, than it shoudl feel different because you will be fully extended and laid-out....unlike the crunched-up hooked in backrolls.......just a thought.
I need to dial-in my railey to Blind and a back to blind this summer fo sho!!! After passing off the rails I've got it dialed....(in my mind) for the water..i hope.
back to work...
oh, and MB, I have a C- in my hand as I type this shiz.. _________________ Shallow Dive Design, 2nd Wind Sports, Airush, Trident Sports |

Yeah.. I've got to admit. I've been a raley to blind/ back to blind chicken shit pussy for almost 5 years now!!
I have landed and passed out of a few of them each year, but can't seem to get over my head of being such a chicken when I load up to commit.
Sometimes you can even hear me cursing at myself out loud yelling ' you fing chicken, just stop being a chicken and commit.
Then I will often ollie to blind and pass just to make myself feel better.
09 is the progression year for sure!!! Stoked to step it up and charge it with such a great group of motivate 30somethings into board sports!!
Winches will for sure be a solid blind training device this year!!
Think though what I really want this year, after the above is a big indy front to blind. Just such a smooth rotation and flow of the move from start to finish. Just saw some today from our LF snow rider Petter Johnson in this video at 1.07. Dre and Slezy throw em pretty smooth and inspirational too. _________________ Liquid Force Kiteboarding in the Pacific Northwest.

With the unhooked backrolls, you want to work at keeping that bar in, close to your lap, and actually getting inverted rather than getting laid out like a raley. That will prepare you for progression into other tricks/grabs, and just makes it look like it was easy. Just remember, straight back and elbows locked in.
Man, I just picked up a copy of Thrasher magazine at the store. Holy crap, the stuff guys are doing these days is absolutely insane. I remember when I was a kid, the stuff we were doing was pinnacle of it's time. Now days, every kid that's been skating for 6 months can do what I could after 6 years.
I can't wait to see what is happening with Kiting in 6 years... |

I'm all about charging it if I got some bro's around to help push it. I am seriously thinking about wearing a mouth guard sometimes. Seriously, put your chin on your desk, stick out your tongue, and then have somebody slam your head down. That's what it felt like. bloody metallic taste in my mouth and everything. |

Get a mouth guard and put the concern behind you. They're like 5 dollars at GI Joe's anyway. |
