Hey all - remember me? I had that party at Crossfit Portland for KB4C last summer. Just wanted to tell everyone that I converted my garage into a little garage gym and am crossfitting people now 6 days a week.

stop on by for a good working over and get strong as hell for kite season this year.. it really is fun, seriously.

tell your friends too! www.23pullups.com -- all the info is on there, and the videos are fun to watch, if you're into that kind of thing.

Nice Jeri!
I've been following your posts and hoping to use them as motivation to get my ass back in shape for summer.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Pepi - it's a blast. I'm gettin a crew of surf instructors ready to go on a surf trip to nicaragua right now, big reef breaks. wish i was going! it's a good crew i get in there since i don't charge much. i mean. it's a garage after all, we're definitely keepin it real out there. Smile

keep following, i've got lots of good stuff to put up there every day. and if you do the workout, post your times, i'm getting a few people who live at the coast and gorge and what-not posting their times. nuthin wrong with a little friendly competition!

* Coordination – the ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.
* Agility – the ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.

why the talk of crossfitmlk.com while someone is trying to promote their own thing? seems like a hijack to me. maybe i am wrong, but it seems like poor form.

super poor form. i'm not trying to prove anything here eli. i've been certified in numerous crossfit certifications, been to tons of seminars, been crossfitting for 2 years, and kiting for 4. i'm training to compete in the crossfit games this year, and also ride in kiteboarding for cancer and help whenever i can in other kiting events. i know your buddy chris and have worked out with him, and been at a cert with him, and have sent him clients since he opened his doors. i do a ton of design work with crossfit headquarters and am deeply rooted in this style of training.

crossfit is about being a stronger athlete and getting better at what you do, and being better at life. i'm not trying to steal his business and will support him however i can.

i'm really happy for you that you support him and "believe in crossfit" and that you have the ability to do a google search and hit copy/paste, but honestly dude. you just don't get it. if you did, you wouldn't dream of posting such a dumb post. i'm trying to make a better athlete, and at the rates i'm charging i'm LOSING money every time i train people. i do it because i love it and i want my friends to be able to charge hard when they're on the water or mountain.

here is a list of every crossfit in town
www.crossfitportland.com
www.crossfithel.com
www.recreatefitness.com
www.crossfitmlk.com

and i have a little garage gym
we work hard, have fun, and get better at life.

Didn't seem like a hi-jack to me. It seemed pretty much on topic.

crossfit sounds great but what I am really wondering is if it is possible to complete the routines without doing pull ups or push ups?

hmmm. sure you could skip pullups and pushups and just go straight to deadlifts and handstand pushups. would that be better?

I'm with FlyDunes. This is the free for all forum, not the classifieds. Good luck with your venture, Jeri!

I'm actually considering checking it out but I met lots of the crossfit guys and they were pretty f#$@in burly. There was a time that I could punish the hell out of my body in the name of fitness and all things agro but umm, I work at a desk now and have two kids.

do you guys have some kind of remedial cross fit class? Like semi parallel fitness? Or kind of crooked fitness?

ha ha. well i dont think any of them do, but anything can be scaled to be appropriate. i just have a little garage with enough weights and training to work over a few people at a time, certainly not a full scale "crossfit gym"
