I forgot I guess most people will be out in Idaho where I should be but couldnt justify an 8 hour drive without getting Fri or Mon off.
Have you been to RR lately? I'm curious if the shallows are still there up further east. If I'm going to kite in cold ass water in a wetsuit I'd rather walk up to the shallows just in case something happened.

Left Rooster at 3:15, must have just missed you Brian. ( Like the Avatar!)
Jeff was lit on a 8m RPM, just leaving when I got there. I outweigh him by a bunch, so I rigged my 11m. Turned out to be too much... I'm guessing the wind had picked up to high 20s by the time I launched. I didn't have time to re-rig. (It was going to be a very short session to begin with.)
Lots of beach by the Tripod, west end of RR. Very nice day out there, sunny & steady winds. |

Looks like it's gusting to mid 40s or better this morning. I'd try it if I had a 5m... Airnet forecast shows it dropping off after 1:00. I wonder how the Camas launch is? |

not sure if he is talking camas or the washougal launch (cottonwood beach). cotton wood beach is located in the very east end of the industrial park along highway 14. It is the last exit on the right before you hit the widlife refuge and start going uphill into the gorge on 14. |
