Well actually wind every other day so I could get in some windless surf sessions. I also don't want to have to pay for lodging. And it would be great if there was no one else there. Thanks guys. |
Otter Rock on central Oregon coast will fit this description. Just bring plastic palms to stick in the beach sand, a porn mag for the bikinis, a six-pack of Keystone cans for the bar and there is plenty of wicked south wind during winter. You may have to adjust your perfection barometer for the crappy waves, and you can legally sleep on the beach in Oregon so no worries for cheap lodging. Extra bonus is that it is usually raining, and the air temps range between 30 and 50 degrees. Water right now is a very comfortable 48. Don't worry about the crowds since most of the people at Otter Rock are buoys and rarely make to their feet on take-offs. Perfection awaits you right here in Oregon, why travel to some hot and muggy surf spot half way around the world? |
