Wed Feb 11, 09 7:16 am Family Surf Camps? |

Found one in Costa Rica, but at 1200/person/week it's too steep. Anyone know of a good camp for Adults and their 12 and 9 year old kids? Warm is better.
Thanks,
Eric |

I would come down here to SPI and get some family lessons from Air Padre or one of the other shops. We have good waves and flat water. You can do 22-30 mile downwinders and its warm, cheap, and close. Some of our kids have learned waves here.
I think Tanya Farman is putting together a spring fling thing the first part of May. She'd be awesome to work with your kids. PM her and arrange something. |

Actually, I meant surfing-surfing, not kite surfing.

eric,
Try OSA in Cannon Beach. I hear many positive stories, from those that have went through rebecca's programs.
I know you prefer warm, but they may have a trip lined up somewhere in the near future.
I'm putting my teenage daughters through this program this summer.

There are lots of great (and reasonably priced) surf camps in the La Jolla area north of San Diego. Here's one I've heard good things about: http://www.lajollasurfcamp.com/
Let us know what you pick and how it was! Tonski |
