Just curious what most of you guys are running your laptop/monitor resolution at? I'm trying to decide what the best res. is for most people, video wise. Thanks!

P.S. - Anyone heading to the mountain today? Tucker, Nate, and I are going be up in a bit. Cool

do both! Very Happy

Seriously sometimes its nice to get a quick download and then sometimes you want full res when you want to watch it on your TV / big screen.

I think for on the computer anything over 480p is kinda overkill.

wuxga! 1920 x 1200 on a 15.1" widescreen,

everybody at my works is amazed i can actually read my laptop screen at that res.

it is sweet to have multiple formats like phil said so you could watch a quicky at work in 480p and then d/l the higher def version to play at home on the media center.

fyi--
if you run google analytics on a website, it will report this information graphically. then you can see what the majority of your visitors have for resolution....
if you don't have GA, i could check a popular site that i manage for you.

1024x768 on a 15" laptop. At my age the large font comes in handy...

Adam, Forrest, have fun on your inversion diversion!

1024 x 768 12 inch screen. I have to carry this thing all over the world & anything more than a couple of pounds just limits how much kite gear I can carry! Very Happy I'm a big fan of dual formats. My laptop won't play HD material, but I love watching your vids on the big screen at home too. Very Happy

I'm currently running 1280x800 on my rather weak dual-core laptop. On my desktop rig I'm running much higher but I have a fairly high end video card.

What are your system specs? That's really going to decide how high you can crank your rez.

P.S. I was at Meadows yesterday. Lots of sun, not much pow-pow (3-4 inches tops). Good day to go fast, bad day to fall. I would wait for more snow personally.

You should definitely upload a 720p version to vimeo so that people can download it watch it in hd if you want, or not have to if they don't. I know some people have computers that choke on hd videos on vimeo.

Unless you have a 1080p version...
in which case I hate you Wink
