Actually, The Double Stuff Plates are made by NSI (and designed by me). I am pretty sure they accommodate a high arch and other odd foot shapes simply because there is so much compliance in the foam. And they are available in 4 sizes. The arch support piece is made from a memory foam that will take the shape of your foot after a few sessions. The retention is superb and the comfort and reduction of shock transferred to your knees and back will let you ride longer with less fatigue. Not sure if anyone in town stocks them but you can always just walk into NSI and check them out. They are made right here in Hood River.

thanks for all the info...I am guessing my problem is both equipment and operator error. I went into 2nd wind and tried both the double stuff and the Lux. I probably would have gone for the double stuff but as I recall the built in arch was a little high cause I have very flat feet. I hope the Lux is the ticket along with more focus on the right pop technique. When is the warm weather coming back? Confused

Now that I think about it -I think Forrest is right. Being that last year was my first season as soon as I could cruise up wind I was trying to get the jumping sequence going.

At first I was practicing the pop thing with no kite motion. Then someone told me just get going and send the kite hard the other way. True enough...skyward. But now that I think about Forrest's comment- it usually was my back foot that would come part way out and take my mind off bringing the kite back around correctly. That suction thing sounds like what was happening. Thanks!! Very Happy

I bet this jumping sequence topic has been talked about before? Search under jumping? Popping?
