Merry xmas

Returned to Shark Beach - downwinder from the south this time - 15miler from Juno north to Hobe Sound - bit sketchy wind perfect to 8kts on 11m and 6'2" surfboard- but glassy head high waves - dropped the kite once on the outside about halfway down did my best stealth swim in

from surfline:

"Big days at Hobe Sound require fit surfers and longer surfboards. The set waves break more than a quarter-mile off the beach, and there is no easy way out, as strong currents drag you south. Longboards are not really a viable option because the lines of whitewater are relentless, requiring constant duck-diving. It sounds terrible, but a few waves each session make the adverse conditions worthwhile. One surfer is so addicted that he keeps coming back, despite suffering three separate shark attacks. Feeding frenzies are common here as the rows of troughs make it easy for predators to corral baitfish."

It'll come. Might be 10 years, but I bet we'll get one. One thing to keep in mind is that cable parks are best built in flood plains where the land is useless for anything else.
