You might try checking the archive of daily wind for Feb. @ iKitesurf - should be able to give you some idea what the typical wind patterns are like. I've gone in March, and kited every day Twisted Evil

Maui was great last year. Was there for 11 days spanning Valentines Day. My 5 year old and I are going for a month. This year I have to go in march as I'll be in Costa Rica in Feb. Saw the most spectacular full lunar eclipse from the top of MT. Haliakala at set set. was the gem at the top of the shadow of the mountain. I'm a wuss, so I brought a 4/3 for snorkeling. Gives a bit of flotation too. The swell was a bit small, but like 2 days overhead. Could have kited 7+ days but got food poison from "Aunty Pasta's"

hey man this is Donny Baker. Went for a week and a half 2 febs ago and 3 wks last feb. The wind didn't blow every day but kited quite a bit so for sure bring your gear. Make sure to take a surfboard cuz kiting the waves is good. Also the locals know all the funky places to go when the wind is acting irregular so befriend someone. I gotta go.
