Yeah...nothing wrong with fixed bars but I think the kite was very old and I don't think he had a clue about kiting on a mountain.

I saw somewhere on the internet a really cool video of snow kiting. Really mellow, nice tricks, not lame like the guy getting lofted out of control. It was a link from some kiteboarding site. I would really like to show it to some people to show them what is possible. Thanks for any help

Are you talking about Dimensions? Doesn't really look all that mellow to me, at least trick wise, but maybe in the trailer cut.

For those of you who have only started kiteboarding in the past few years.. you probably don't recognize the name.

Malik was the top rider out of France in the early days and was riding F-one when most of the rest of us were on 2 line wipi's.

You can see footage of him from 2002 waddell comp in Strung Out and other early videos.

Not making any justification of his gear or judgement, but this guy has been flying kites- with no depower- longer than most everyone here has even known kiteboarding was a sport.

You can tell his level of skill simply by the fact that he handled that situation, very smoothly I'd say and didn't end up dead of f'd up.. which is how it would have ended for most people.
