So where are the hot spots? My family and I went to Rooster Rock State Park for a picnic and saw people kiteboardinig. Looked kinda windy and on the colder side so does it get to cold to kite on the river here. I don't know why there was only a couple of guys out but, maybe the water temp is to cold or something. Ant info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Will |

Hey Will, welcome!
Rooster is normally one of the favorite Easterly wind spots, but it was pretty strong there yesterday. Gusts to 45 or 50 on the water,,, Most people went to the coast or East of Rooster yesterday. Check out the Thread "Sunday 11/23".
I'm a big fan of drysuits this time of year. (Except in the Ocean, then I'd wear a 5/4 wetsuit...) |

Wil, a typically trend on the east winds is if it is too windy at Rooster (and this year it seems more nuky than normal) you can head further east and the wind is less. The two most prominent spots to run from the east winds are stevenson and viento on the oregon side.
BTW where are you coming from? |
