What is a better choice; foot straps (like what you see on a windsurfboard) or foot binding boots (kindof similar to wakeboarding type)? I wanted to buy equipment thats the correct stuff. Embarassed

Blokt,

Lots of guys ride straps. There a few guys, really good riders all, who use bindings. There are also a lot of really good riders who use foot straps. Absolutely start out with straps. You may or may not decide to switch to bindings at some point in the future...

Go with straps - when you are learning you are going to want to be able to get in and out of your board easily.

Later on you may want to get into bindings.

Yeah hamlindp, didn't you just ask the same question on kitescoop?

http://www.kitescoop.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3180&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Why don't you leave "us wimp assholes" alone and go hang with your new friends?

besides, your posts are even funnier over there. "yeah, i'm going to get boots, I'm going to kill it, blah blah blah...

"when you say unhooked, do you mean the whole time or only when you jump?"

Fucking Priceless!! really.

Your BS doesn't fool me. Oh yeah, I'm just buying gear and like I don't know anything. "Should I like buy bindings or those foot strappy things?"

yeah, this question comes up all the time from beginners.. Rolling Eyes seems odd as well that only 5 posts and knows about the unicorn...and reference to early avatar of penis headed unicorn to which he was greatly offended by... hmmm? I'm SURE its just a coincidence.

Given your style of "riding", I think swimming fins would be the best bet.
