I think he's just looking for an outline. I rode the kink at Georgetown lake. I have no idea what makes a snowboard good for snowkiting.

Actually, I'm looking to buy one but it will have to be a used or on closeout = Cheap!

LOL thats funny , Jake came out and rode with me last season and he was going to try and make that board go thru for best , looks like ozone had the same idea , well LIBTech s idea hehe. I heard Lib put it thru as kinda a joke board for Travis Rice but he actually ended up liking it in powder ....
I rode that board when Jake was out and it was ok but not that fun on hard pack.

for snowkiting a wide, twin board is really what ya want, but anything works .
I have a ABoards kitesnowboard 158
http://aboardskiteboarding.wordpress.com/2008/03/11/aboards-kiteboarding-kitesnowboard/
its really sick! with the kite and without really fun park board ... I am selling it for cheap if anyone wants it?

How cheap?

old post but some cool strapless stuff.

Anyone Read or get Snowboarder ? theres a really cool story on page 158/159 in the newest issue for JAN 09.

storys about some dude Wolle the Snowskater in this article and Photographer Oli Gagnon, well he wrote the article and took the pics . They Heli out of Haines and find a 6000 ft vertical mt , and Wolle drops a HUGE cliff with the skate and shreds its pretty cool short story and I really like snowskating so thought ID share the story and see if anyone had seen it? or heard of this Wolle dude? I guess he makes his own custom skates(Id like to find one) and they look really cool and he is just shredding in this article , the board he is using is Big Bio-deck thing and the bottom sectoin is like a old school shredstick.

Nathan,

got a link..?

I'd love to get in on some of that action..!

Sounds almost like a larger version of the bi-decks we got..?

Thanks for reviving this thread. I'm stoked to do some design work when I get back.
You can fly PDX to Boise for $60 on Southwest. Anyone know how the snow in ID is?
Hope they get some from this latest storm. Unhooked and unstrapped in the snow is
the future?? Check these out. Not strapless but maybe a step towards it. Made them up
a few years back but NSI wasn't real interested in making them at the time. Maybe the
time is right now... save it, haters. Contact NSI if you want a set.

Looks awesome in the huge, once in a lifetime epic powder snow heli-trips.

But how would it work in the typical cascade concrete or tracked out runs that are more the norm here? Wouldn't the board bounce off your feet? Probably a cool feeling though. Kind of like the feeling of skim boarding as opposed to a twintip

Chanson, I could not find a link thru Snowboarder , I think they dont put current issues up on the site , but def swing into a store or you can have mine and check out the Jan09 Snowboarder pages 158/159 .
Yea its like our Bio-decks but the bottom deck/ski part is a huge directoinal old school snowboard shape just looks sick for pow!

Hein, just was talking with our freind Monty over at SnowkiteSoldier the yesterday, didnt sound like theres to much snow there either YET Exclamation Wink .wow thats a good price , I suppose its not to far away tho, nice days drive and Bamo some of best snowkiting in the Nation !

pdxm, I come from the midwest and its a bit of crustyness compared to here and have ridden a few things like that and its fun, just have make do with what ya got, adn maybe step out side the box and explore theres always a few tracks, runs, hills, bumps, etc to find a bit of goodness to ride on. its all about having fun, ya know? dont know inless ya try!

Check out last month's Snowboarder mag. Wollie Nyvelt is slaying strapless snowboarding. Getting heli's to drop him off on top of some monsters.

One of my favorite shredie's for sure.

not hating on it.. just curious how well you be able to set an edge without bindings that's all.

Maybe we should build our own helicopter this winter? Laughing
