Anyone thoguht about using the noboards snowkiting..?

Looks like a cool idea, except you gotta take that bungee off, and maybe set it up more twin.....

http://www.noboard.ca/

Does anyone remember that old snowboard video of Dave Downing riding a surfboard in POW...? Now that I think would be do-able on a kite if it was light, fluffy and deep.

What about a skimboard..? Wink

yeah nate...sweet rail!

, the snow skates are fun and I will be bringing mine to the event in MT the first week of Dec. but it seems like those are a hard-pack snow option only......?
Where ya been Nathan... might try for a night session tomorrow night on teh winch if you wanna comeout.

Looks like they have some major pads on the powder-skates they have...
shit, I might just try my old Byerly wakeskate from like 98' Shocked

Nice! yea they work well on hard pack . I have had it in a little powder, but would be nice to have a bigger deck . sweet try it! that would be fun if theres a bunch of powder, maybe at haggin?. if the event is on the lake it should be hard pack enough for your snowskate and heard they have some rails , sick have fun out there!

Just been chilling , doing phsical therapy, waiting for surgery.

Sick Night sesh! for sure let me know

You can skim in snow... whoaaa

we've taken our kayaks in the snow and tried to kill ourselves, lots of neck snapping possibilities - fun till you ran out of pow, then not so much

I made some short tracker skegs for an old flat rocker-ed quad.
We had a blast surfing the golf course during HR snow days last year.
Could easily see riding it with a kite.

But I got another idea for strapless in the pow pow in my head.
I need to find the shortest fattest snowboard available. <- that's
half of the equation.

Just need to do some CAD work, machine some parts and
assemble components.

Ride Kink is a good starting place. It's a fat jib board made to feel like it rides bigger than it is.

the K2 fat bob makes a great snowkite board.

My favorite board of all time, The "matt cummins" model by Libtech Cool

The Kink might be a tad too soft, no?

I think he's just looking for an outline. I rode the kink at Georgetown lake. I have no idea what makes a snowboard good for snowkiting.

LOL thats funny , Jake came out and rode with me last season and he was going to try and make that board go thru for best , looks like ozone had the same idea , well LIBTech s idea hehe. I heard Lib put it thru as kinda a joke board for Travis Rice but he actually ended up liking it in powder ....
I rode that board when Jake was out and it was ok but not that fun on hard pack.

for snowkiting a wide, twin board is really what ya want, but anything works .
I have a ABoards kitesnowboard 158
http://aboardskiteboarding.wordpress.com/2008/03/11/aboards-kiteboarding-kitesnowboard/
its really sick! with the kite and without really fun park board ... I am selling it for cheap if anyone wants it?
