Yeap, yesterday I could have been on the 5M, but stayed on the 7M... Jim was on the 9M practicing unhooked 360 backrolls! The boards fin hit him in the ankle so he was done for the day. I continued to play:-) I had some good jumps and some eh jumps, but we've kited everyday!

We have not made it to Prea yet. You have to pay $10USD per person per day, they pick you up at 10am from Jeri and drop you back off at 4pm... Supposedly, it's been very light over there, you'd need 9 & 11M... Plus, you are there for 6 hours no matter what. But, there's a couple restaurants, a hotel with a pool, another hotel being built, and then shade! If you want to do your own thing, you could try to rent a dune buggy, but it's about $100-200USD per day with a driver but they are sometimes very unreliable...

So, we stay in Jeri and do the off-shore kiting as that is all there is over here:-( The windsurfers have the ocean right in Jeri no kiters allowed! So, the place in Jeri we go is downwind and as I said off-shore and there's no shade, no restaurants, no nothing. It's a national park. Jim's helped a couple of beginners with getting back safely and we were helping with board rescue...

Hopefully, tomorrow we will get out to Prea.... We'll have to let you know how it goes and we will take pictures over there:-) I wanted to take some pictures of Jim, but in the national park area, it's kind of sketch leaving your stuff on the beach, we did one day, but Jimbo came in before I did and then he took pictures of me at sunset.... We'll get you some of him and of the town so you can see the night life and the unbelieveable outfits. LOL!

We are getting ready to go out to kite now..... I'm actually not wearing my wetsuit, which is rare! Wore it for the downwinders, but haven't since we were here in Jeri.... Hope everyone is well back in the NW and we will continue to provide you with things to keep you "drooling at work" as BettyBoarder put it.... He He He

GoodBye for right now!

Well, I am off the water for a couple of days now. I was cutting through a zip-tie and sliced open my finger. Pretty much cut down to the bone. Luckily there was an ER doc here and he had some lidacaine with him and the place we were staying had a needle and suture, so he was able to stitch me up.

I have to stay off the water a couple of days and hope it doesnt get infected Crying or Very sad Its too bad because someone just lent me a surf/skim to use.

Sad Man, that's f*(&ing horrible Jim. Hope it heals fast. I clean wounds like that a couple times a day by dipping the wound in Hydrogen Peroxide. Keeps it clean and it seems like wounds heal faster.

The Doctor is going to check the sutures out tomorrow am, I'll take pictures for all interested.... I'm having flashbacks of my motor scooter accident in Cozumel. Jim should be taking anti-biotics which we have, but he's waiting for the ER Doctor to come back to the place to ask him first.

Anyhow, I'll take pictures of our nice bloody 7M kite! There was blood everywhere. I had no idea as I was laying out the lines, and all of a sudden he yells "CUT HAND CUT HAND". So, I run up to him and blood is just well, everywhere. He runs down the beach to see if someone in a buggy could give him a ride to our place. Finally blood all over his shirt, on his hat, etc., someone gives him a ride 3/4 of the way, he then runs the rest of the way. Long story short, I'm on the beach and I'm thinking well, the ER Doctor if he is there is stitching him up with our sewing kit, or he's being taken to the Hospital, and I'm stuck on the beack with all our stuff and cannot possibly do anything. So, along came the horse and buggy to get me, and then when I got back, they were taping Jim up. He now has sutures, and is gauzed up and off the water for at least three days!

Now his finger is a bit numb and red, so we are hoping he is not infected and that he will be OK.... We have saline and great cleansing stuff it was sitting in the bag next to the first aid kit, but Jimbo didn't see it, I'm surprised he could even get to our first aid kit.... He's a true trooper that guy! Damn it was a bad and deep cut.

So, that is our latest update. Hopefully, I'll be able to hook-up with a couple of kiters here tomorrow and kite with them in Prea! Otherwise I'm in until Jimbo is fixed-up.... I'd never ever kite alone, and especially here with off-shore winds, and even on-shore winds, because if something goes wrong then noone is there.

Well, talk to you all tomorrow!
Janet

Shocked Hey guys, maybe PM a certai kiteboarder who raises a lot of money for cancer. Check that your antibiotic is good for that and recomended dosage? Is Jim up to date on tetanus shots? I hope all is good real soon!

Yeah your buddy Brian is staying at the same place we are staying and he was the one that stitched me up. Luckily the folks here had a suture kit, and Brian had some lidocaine. I am all up to date on my shots, we did that before we left for Africa and Brazil.
