You guys killed it! Catching up on my nwkite reading... glad you guys had a fun trip - sorry I couldn't hookup (Sunday is for Church hethans and hangin w/the wife and kids - duh!). Lots of fun southerly sessions to be had tho. The estuary here at 18th would be great for the grinches. See ya next time. Cool

Wouldn't the Jetty at Newport work like that? I believe you can drive out on it so the beer and tunes would be close at hand as well. Cool

You can drive out on Newport's, but not very far so the tide would have to be way in... Still would probably work well though!

Yeah we need to find a jetty spot for Southerlies (some North jetty) was pretty much a swirling mess out there - nice girlie lent me her kayak Thumb's Up and got out thru 3 or 4 walls it was neverending whitewater

I'm voting for superstyles' avatar for President. Some poopnastics would make those summer Olympics a lot more interesting.

I think the Chinese gymnastic team already implements this exercise when deciding who to put on their team. . .if you can stand, jump, and are out of diapers, I guess your old enough, I mean you must be 16 yrs old or older, right? Razz

You can do it in After Effects, though it's done with point tracking so if you're not good about tracking with the camera to begin with, you won't be able to fix it. To keep the quality up, however, I'd only do this to HD footage. Allows you to zoom in a bit (which you need to have solid edges) without seeing a huge decrease in resolution. Andy tracks a ton on his Aaron movies. I used it a bit on the last LEN10 vid, and Kraemer was playing with it on his Ponds vid!

SynthEyes is a tracking program used for more complex stuff, but its newer stabilizing feature is crazy! Doesn't require you to track a specific point, it more or less just smooths everything out. Uses a ton of processing power too.

Fort Stevens South Jetty should be badass. You can walk out from lot C along that path and steak the winch in right around where the waves break. Shallow enough to walk, but far enough out to get you to some decent waves.

genek is right....ft stevens is the perfect setup.
And you can drive there from the Iredale ramp if you have a 4x4. Tis the season for open beaches.
