Slider numero uno completed. 14' long with a pretty sweet arc to it.

Not to mention that one guy can pick it up and move it around. Props to PDXMB for the design. Also thanks to PKH, BettyBoarder, and Gman for the extra sets of hands tonight

Looks fun. You will be ready for something longer in no time though.

We're ready for something longer now son, but needed to keep it short for transportability. Hopefully we'll have 2 more adjustable sections soon which would make for some badass 40ft+ slider options.

do you guys ever think about using trex instead of pvc? it seems like it would be easier to mount and butt peices together.

Trex is a lot more spendy compared to PVC and it would not work with PDXMB's design. All 3 supports are adjustable, the trex just wouldn't flex enough.

Plus, we have a big stash of PVC in the backyard.

You guys are crazy, any irate neighbors come after you for cutting steel and welding deep into the night?

Looks like I left before second round of beer? damn.

Word. No need to spend extra bucks on what you already got. The flat bar I built a while back used Trex but wasn't adjustable. We would just move it deeper in the water if it was too tall or visa-versa.

Well, some dude wearing a Jason mask with a machete came over from across the street, but he ended up being cool. Jake and I were definitely worried about drilling shit outside close to midnight.

the other thing about trex is that stuff is HEAVY!! not a little heavy, ALOT heavy. That and its not all that rigid so it couldn't span 5' like the pvc does.

Last nights action was nothing compared to chooch and I grinding stuff at 1:00am on monday night Smile

Haha, good to know the neighbors already hate you. Guess we had nothing to worry about.

the neighbors to the east are cool. The house to the west installed a high pressure sodium security light about 6 months ago that completely sucks!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad When you walk up stairs you think that a ufo is landing in the backyard. Paybacks are a bitch Smile

Maybe I'll just grind some metal tonight, just for the sake of grinding it. Honestly though, if i never held a grinder for the rest of my life I don't think I would mind.

I'm stoked...thanks doods for the inspiration...
