took this a few hours ago...
swell is breaking all the way over the top of Cape Kiwanda...
long story about the only camera I have is my phone, but I managed to capture one picture.
this was about 1/2 way back to low tide.
fun times watching about 3 guys trying to paddle out in that. I'm not sure what they were planning on riding anyway, but they never got very far out.

you could see this from the webcam - was debating a trip to Newport with Matt D and happened to catch one of those boomers on the cam - whoaaaaa
(sauvies is good too)

How many kites out? Can't imagine the outside - was 20' plus on Thursday - 30' on Sat? Did anybody shoot a few pics.

for sure gettin worked
I counted 12 kites
at any time several getting worked
it was shitty outside very bumpy and mushy waves that would suddenly pitch
yyyeeeooooow fuck
nothing for me there
But there was a line next to the shore break that was
courderooooouuuuy zzzzzziiiizzzzz
fast breaker and smooooth runs,,,
up by the jetty Andre'(after towing Nelscott that morning)
and another surfer gettin it so good.
So after lunch (2:00)I poached right up there after they left
sweet little A frame producing some nice OH tubes
kept lookin for ya 
plenty of pics in my mind
wind died around 5:00

little girl got snatched by a sweeper set on the beach...lucky for her dad the ocean let her live...happened 12pm right out in front of my house..jahmbi was there.....
another kid got slammed, said 'he didn't even know which way was up...his dad was wet from head to toe....so many people kickin it next to the ocean with out an idea of how fast you could almost be dead....

Ya not too many cilvilians out on the S.jetty
too windy and cold
one approached with kid, wife and boogy-boards
Ben the nice guy from surf shop went out and explained the dangers
turns out he was an ocean kayaker pal of his
and they played safely in the pool downwind
We gave a ride to a surfer on the way to the jetty
he went out paddled around for half an hour just getting hammered
came in and said it sucked
but he got some great exercise
