Holy NUKE!!!!

It was crazy out there...probably the strongest winds I have ever kited...wish I brought the wind meter for documentation.

Bryan, Strachman and Monkey got out....until the devil gusts blew them away!!! Twisted Evil Shocked

Gman and I had our 15m lines which I think really helped...so we lasted longer.
6m fully lit on short lines!!! When i left Gman was still on the water..

It's gonna be good today, just wait a little bit..or go to viento! Idea

Hopefully planning on going back out around 3-4ish if its still on...

Viento is probably the call... Skamania Island is gusting to 44 right now. Shocked I'm going to head out, but the swell might be too much for the boat...

Wow, that was the first time I've walked away from a windy day since I've had my 7m.

Is there beach to launch from at BV? I went to rooster since I know I can self launch if nobody else showed up. Not that it helped much this morning.

The water level should be low enough to have a nice beach to launch at BV. Otherwise there will be a large sandbar 50-75 yards offshore that you could walk to, just have to tread 2' of water at the most.

Kyle,
pretty sure gman does..

but www.royalkiteboarding.com is so dope Wink ...they give you 15m lines with 5m extensions.... So, when its nuked you can just take them off..

yeah, kyle is right, no sandbar in the middle...but it's all about knee-waist deep.

I'm heading to Viento around noon. Will probably hook up with Nate to try to do a mini downwinder to Trevors Hole (gotta fix the name of this spot, since it works both ways Rolling Eyes ).

See you guys there.

Bonetti and I may try to stay closer to Portland, would like to find a spot where the wind is a little bit more mellow. Cottonwood? We'll see Rolling Eyes

Call Mike. He said he'd see what Cottonwood was doing on his way out, though the wind direction isn't ideal.
