heading to SPI (or maybe La Ventana) in November

I'm planning on heading down to South Padre Island for a couple of weeks in November. I just got laid off from my job last week so I have the time but I'm trying to keep costs down to a minimum. Trying to weigh my options... flying vs. driving, camping vs. cheap place to crash, etc....

Wondering if there are any fellow nw kiters who are already down there or planning to head down next month who might either have some extra room (on the floor/couch or even in a tent in the garage or yard would be OK) or maybe want to share the drive and gas $.

Or, if someone has a van or pickup with camper down there that I could rent for a couple of weeks (would fly down in that case) that might work too.

I'd consider heading down to La Ventana as well, though from what I've been able to gather the reliable winds don't really pick up until December down there.

I'm in the process of booking a 2 week trip down to SPI in second half of Nov. Carl will be joining me for about 8 of those days. We could prob share housing and car rental to keep costs down if you want. Lemme know if you're interested.

Yeah, I'm sure we can work something out Carol. Glad you got the PIMP downwinder mobile. I heard there already was a new slider down there? Is that not true?

Have one built, working on another, and the kicker is moved from the North Flats to the North 'Racing Flats' (thanks Hein for the booter!)
