Noice Chanson, that should be the last large piece of the puzzel. Stoked to build this thing on Saturday. Did you manage to get a single line or did they break it up in 2 sections?

just called, one 600 and one 400.. a lock splice would be the best way to connect them.

Sweet, sounds good. How about handle and fat leader line to go on the spool? We should get those too.

Is fat leader line a good idea? It seems like the 7/64 amsteel would bury itself between the wraps of the leader?

not done yet. We ran into a couple snags.. we ran out of welding gas.. and we kinda sorta lost one of the little parts of the motor when we were modifying it. Embarassed

Should be all good by this weekend though. Wink

The grinch sells for around $2600.

No Hal, he was responding to the question about how much a winch sells for. Of course we're not selling ours. Thanks a lot for the welder!

That's good. I thought maybe you were going to sell to cover the cost and then start again! That's a lot of BEER.

Gene.. I finished the governer removal by sealing the new bolt hole. I also hooked up a fairly pimp throttle linkage that lets the control arm move more than the throttle on the carb for more throttle precision!!!!

Also riveted on the "unicorn horn" throttle lever...

It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads
