I don't want to make it floating, but I think that is going to be the easiest way by far. I took this picture from the road, so you can see it's a short ways to carry the winch. Maybe 50 yards... Go into Camas on 3rd street. Go South at the Burgerville. The road winds left and then crosses the Washougal River. That's the spot. You can also just stay on 14. At the first light you come to, if you're coming from the West, turn left. Follow the road, it turns left in 2 blocks. Just stay on the road till it crosses the Washougal. Thats the spot. It's about 5 minutes from the Camas kite beach. During Salmon runs it's a VERY popular fishing hole. (I've seen a lot of Chinook taken out of there... ) Right now there's no fisherman. You can't wade across it at the bridge, it's too deep. Down by the island you usually can wade across, until the water level rises with the rain anyway. The Parker House is a great spot for happy hour after the session!
