That wave looks freakin sweet Good enough to clean the dust off my big wave board that has been patiently waiting all year for waves like that.

Was there hugeness - Newport was firing Extra Large - Met Hein for a sick strapless session, the long period made it too easy - got off to an inauspicious start as I cleared the first wall of whitewater pulled in on my sheeting and the line pops the chicken loop release - held it together and got back to shore.
Some of the biggest waves of the year - knew it was gonna be epic as I passed Yaquina Head you could see 10ft walls lining up. Saw some folks hikin down to Beverly Beach and Gary from HR was wrappin it up when we arrived at Newport around 1:30 - just the two of us.
Was nicely powered on the 7m REV and 5'5 SRT - Hein was workin a 5.5 then did a coastal tour to visit Blowhard
Passed a Fed Ex triple on the way home that would have fit nicely into some of the bigger set waves.

Saved Gman from looking for the body.
Fondue with the girls on the way home.

We got 2 runs in at Whiskey Run on 8-10m. Sweet waves up to double head. forgot the camera. oops. Thanks Andy for then local tour.
Off to Pistol River if the wind picks up today/tomorrow.
