Cottonwood?

So when you guys ride at cottonwood, where do you ride?
I walked the beach there on the way home today and it seemed cool, especially that little pool on the east end of the beach.
Is the wind good up at that east end or does it get cockblocked by the island? (seen in Nak's second pic in the following thread)

Also, did anyone find out about access at the spot about 2 miles east of there past the island?

When I went by Cottonwood in the boat yesterday at about 2:00, it looked to be totally calm in a wind shadow. It gets that way unless there's some south in the wind at Troutdale. Look for wind direction of 110 -120. You can hike a couple of hundred yards East of the beach there to get out of the wind shadow sometimes... Start at the beach where it's abeam the west end of Reed Island and go East a couple of hundred yards.
