Nate was the third guy but I think we missed each other at the rooster parking lot. I went there first but then got the Gman call to head to BV. I told him I thought Nate was coming but then I said "maybe that smiley face next to "6 AM right?" meant there is no way in hell I'm getting up that early to kite.

If I can swing it again with the wife, planning on a repeat tomorrow. Soo nice out there in the early AM. It isn't until the sun starts heating things up that it gets nuking out.

I can attest to Gman doing mach 10 on the skim. At one point I saw huge spray coming up and I was like" holy shit, he's killing it"...no wait, is he draggin on his ass? No, yes, no, he's kind of standing up (skim board flies downwind about 30 yards), ok yeah, he's ass dragging in 6" of water.

Very Happy

Yeah I was a little late to the parking lot. Totally missed the herd. Had a feeling you guys went to BV or Dalton...oh well, I topped out that 8 in no time anyways. The trip was worth the sunrise alone.

That helo rescue was pretty rad too...wasn't sure if it was the real thing or if they were just practicing high wind landing. Impressive

Nate, the ponds were a little more chill wind wise. We migrated down to the dunes but when we started taking out near the channel we were getting blasted so headed back upwind.

Jeff,

To match your avatar, you need to adjust your color scheme.. Wink
green shirt, yellow shorts, then red board.

Not if you're going from Beaverton. If you're already out on the east side though it might be worth it.

I'm saving my energy for some dawn patrol action Tues morning. Anyone else? Brian mentioned going again. I'm thinking maybe 7am? You guys also land at BV?

Rode RR from about 12:30-3pm. Lots of smoke on the water. tapered off to very lit 7 around 3 pm.

The worst part was when you came back in and the sand was blowing waist high.

It is most certainly on for tomorrow. I 'll be at BV at 6:30. Its light enough to kite at that time and the wind is better (or at least it was today).

I only wish the ponds were a little deeper. I want to try some wakestyle shiet but keep envisioning face planting, having my arm stick in the mud, and breaking off at the shoulder. Then people in would have to tie a milk jug to it so they wouldn't run it over.
