Seriously dude, I don't care how good you are; screwing around unhooked with a kite that big with all those families directly downwind is damned dangerous, that kite could have easily killed someone's kid. Just be glad that when it finally did get away from you it wrecked into a blackberry bush and not someone's face. Kiting's image has had a rough enough summer without this crap going on... how much is a new LE bladder gonna run you for that thing, anyways? Rolling Eyes

He shoulda been testing his 15m at RR instead. I'm sure he would've had more fun unhooking it Laughing

Not all the way over the road but it landed on the road side of the berm a couple times, last one was smack in the middle of a thornbush as we were leaving. Didn't see the kite in the air after that... Razz

I see. Well hopefully the damage wasn't too bad, it's a beautiful kite. I won't beat beat on the subject anymore but c'mon man, you had to have known that for one reason or another arsing about with all those people around wasn't the best idea. SI is still super chill towards kiters and we all wanna keep it that way.

No damage. I guess it's pretty tough.

It was good early in the day at the end of the road, but never came up last night at the kite beach. Forecast is grim for the next few days, but I'll still check the actuals later. Its too late in the season to pass up any mid-week opportunities.

Rooster sounds good, but I don't have any kites for 25+ mph conditions and I wouldn't want to try to get through downtown from the west side after 4pm anyway.

Haha, I don't think the iKitesurf forecast for SI has changed in the last 4-5 days.

I'm looking at the temp and pressure differentials, usairnet.com, mm5, and even weather.com. The temperature differentials are looking better tho.

I might go regardless just coz it's a nice day and I'd be more bummed if I didn't go and it went off than I would be if I do go and it doesn't Smile

I mean really, come on guys. SI is fun and all during the week, but at some point, well, its just stupid.

We were planning on going to RR but none of us had small enough kites for the conditions.

Hey Steve, is Christiano the same kid that was screwing around with some kite and slammed it down about 50 feet from my kid about 3 weeks ago? Seriously, that kid needs some lessons and has to learn to respect what a kite can do both to himself and the other people around him. For real.

I don't know if its the same kid but I chewed some kids ass a couple weeks ago and I thought someone said he was with you or something. NBD, lets just keep it safe.

Christiano is the Italian kiter with the 10 & 12M C kites. I think he's probably close to your age.

I don't know who dropped a kited near your kid, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Kelton. You know Kelton right?
