the fire started around the highway and 15th or 18th ave N. North of wasco street at about 1pm. my guess is the grass along the highway caught fire and moved up to those apartments there along the highway.

Just got off the river, the trees along the bank are going up in big fire balls by the Hook. Great view from the WS Bridge area. They closed the highway too and are sending the folks through town. Oh and it's blowing 20-25ish and not to bad by the island, rode the 7m and the surf board.

Damn, that shit looks insane. I didn't see any of that from Stevenson.

Heard about the fire from Forrest, then heard some dude got hit on a motorcycle ~2 miles west of Stevenson on 14 (and had traffic completely shut down for a while)... We were a little worried about being able to get home with 84 closed as well, but by the time we left at ~4:45, 14 was open. There were so many cars crossing the BOTG, they waived the toll!
