| Is there a thread that tells you how to get to the flats?

Those vehicles are on private property, they have their own private beach. You could launch from Corbett and ride across, but it looks pretty sketchy.
Today was pretty damn good. I was lit up on my 7.5, flying upwind even against the heavy current in the channel. That lasted till about 2:00, when it dropped off to 11m winds pretty suddenly. Then about 5:00 it shifted to 15m winds, but I left at that point. (I'm no lightweight, so most of you would be down one size.) The Flats were a little deeper than last time, but still pretty nice.

First time I had been to RR, my 13 was perfect from about 5-6.
I parked to the left as I pulled in and walked up river to launch, is there a better place to access from the east parking lot so you dont have to walk so far?

Here's a pic of the kite beach at Reed Island just below the flats yesterday. Just to give you an idea what's there...

I think this was discussed last year as well and someone mentioned that it's a private road. If you look at it the road passes in between some house/warehouse looking buildings. Not sure what that implies, maybe we can sweet talk them into letting kiters thru. Can anyone's that's checked it out or knows more chime in? Thanks.
