Apparently nowhere... If you go to the industrial site though where there is a decent waterfront you can walk it out a ways to where you can see the tip of an island... That is the spot.
FYI don't take a shortcut. the nettles suck. Last edited by Joshiebaby on Mon Sep 08, 08 4:24 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Sorry. Didn't mean to sound snug if it came off that way. I was just pissed I went there and there was no wind. Like 1g2. Where the F is that sensor anyway and how could it be so far off?? |

If you're looking at Ikitesurf, the Washougal sensor is near Skamania island. Cottonwood is only good if RR is nuked out... And then only if there is some south in the wind at Troutdale. The Nak Nak Flats were f@!&ing great, as was RR!!! |

| I was working in Washougal this morning and can verify it was honking (at least where i was in the industrial park). Winds were from the west. but gusty it seemed where i was, but tapered off throughout the day as it got warmer and may have even shifted around from the east. |

The launch in Washougal, Cottonwood, sits in a wind shadow if the wind does not have some South in it. You can hike upwind a ways to get out of the wind shadow, but you're left with a pretty small riding area...
Must have been a weird wind back eddy in the industrial area... It was East all day From Rooster to Camas. |

I was very curious about where in washougal you could kite. I wakeboard in that area quite often and have never seen a kite there. i would definately not recomend ever going there again. very, very rarely does it blow more than 10mph there. plus there is a lot of boat traffic there. the wind usually doesnt start picking up until you get past reed island and it really doesnt get that reliable until you get up to RR. _________________ Keep livin' the dream. |

| Yeah it goes okay sometimes in the winter but I was trying to steal a summer session. This is not a good idea. |

| I think i spent too much time in the industrial area, inhaling too many fumes, you're right, the wind was coming from the east, and that was rarer to me as it seems to always blow this fiberglass odor to me, from the west.... |
