dan,
I shoot kiteboarding photography because I love to do it. When I started, I didn't know shit about settings. bam bam would get a good laugh out of it because I always used to use the green setting on the camera! I used to stay up all night to edit the 100's of images I'd taken at the beach that day. Everytime I get the camera out I feel there is something I am going to learn. Whether it is a setting on the camera or how I want to shoot and at what angle. Now with a little more experience under my belt, my buddies are eager for me to bring my camera out. You can't expect to have it all figured out the first time and it's a shame that one comment has affected your judgement. There are many that appreciate the effort you have put into the process. I fully recognize what it takes. Alot of times riders will be off the water due to an injury, as in my case, and pick up a camera. They can pick up when a rider is going to jump or do a move where as a professional photographer may have difficulty picking things like that up. If you decide to continue, which would be a benefit to all of us on this forum and maybe even the kiteboarding magazines, feel free to send me a PM and I am happy to share with you my knowledge of shooting on the water.

keep us stoked dan,
jim

Rico - no offense but that photo sucks, especially the rider in it - he looks like he's busy scanning for VS on the beach.

Keep taking photos, that was cool of you to hang and take the photos in the first place. Just because some lame hoe has nothing going on so she has to rip someone....forget about it. It takes a while to shoot good kiting and to have good pictures taken of you. Let it go, and thanks for shooting the photos! I was the third (lame) photo....hey it was just a jump and you caught me taking off....cool.

Take care,
LCL

Yeah, can you take some shots of me. No one does Crying or Very sad . I'm the guy with the kite that looks more like a parachute or paraglider. I'm the guy no one takes a picture of, just because my tricks are sub-lame Laughing

INFO: Sauvie Island kite beach is where I usually go, and you can always find kiters there when the forcast is for N or NNW winds in the 5-15 range, especially if it's 10mph or higher. If you're feeling brave, you should anchor right in the middle of the action Exclamation . The best place to be is where the wind is the strongest.

Danno, you rock my friend, and I not talking about the Hooker either Laughing .

Obviously this is some kind of fake photo-chopped crap. Where did you learn to edit Rico Suavie? Everyone knows you can't kiteboard without water. Duh, dude.

(Actually, you just made me change my wallpaper AGAIN. Thanks alot.)

Very Happy

Peace!

Jess, Holly, sure he wanted honesty, but that doesn't mean you need to go off the scale. Here is how you judge audiovisual material on nwkite:

1. It looks like the wind was nice (meaning: lame photos, possibly good session)
2. These look sweet (meaning: I could take better ones with my phone cam)
3. Those are sick (meaning: you are almost there, keep shooting)
4. holy sh*t (meaning: now you talking, this is what we want to see)
5. holy sh*balls, or f@&ing sick, or awesome (meaning: those are the real good)
6. can I go there with you next time (meaning: picts contained naked chicks or at least inflatable doll)

So next time don't go off the above scale, cause we don't know what you mean.

Rico-

Where were those shots taken? Somewhere near Rooster on the Washington side? The walls in the background look like they might be climbable
