Windy spots in the fall?

So I'm sitting here at work (my last day) thinking about what I'm going to do with myself.
I'm taking some time off before my next venture and need to kite.
I'm going to the floras lake thing and then going to Arcata, CA to visit friends.
After that, where should I go?
Should I just hang in Norcal/SoOR?

How long of a break dude? How far you willing to go?

South Padre Island starts getting good into October and stays good through November. It's a good option if you can go for a month or more. Cali has a decent number of kitable days in October (at least in the SF Bay Area), but definitely not super consistent anymore. Around here it's mainly Rooster Rock or Stevenson for Easterlies.

Otherwise any good kiting spot in the Southern hemisphere can work. Australia, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, etc. Can easily can certified to teach (if you even need to) and make some money while you're there to sustain the lifestyle a bit longer.
