a bit trivial, but what is the purpose of the plastic clamp that goes over the inflation valve on revs? it seems like it's just to keep the valve more securely on, but an extra strip of velcro would be a lot simpler for that goal. is it meant to actually pop off with too much pressure? every time i put it on, it just seems like a clunky design.
also, what is the right way for it to be rigged? should the velcro go through the top of it, so it's all combined, or should it just be put on separately? i've seen it both ways. i hate the idea of this little contraption coming off. |

It is an extra "safety" to help keep the inflate valve from blowing open should you smash the kite down hard...
And I've never had a problem with any of mine (putting it over the velcro). Seems to work just fine! |

| what Adam said. I thought it was a pretty sweet design and I have really tested its ability to hold the plug in on my 9m. |

| I like that clamp!!! When I inflate with a C02 cartridge, it kind of freezes the valve. That clamp does a great job of holding the cap on. (It just pops off when frozen otherwise.) |

| I am pro clamp. After you use the inflation port alot it can strech a bit. The clamp helps the valve not to leak. |

| If you make sure you open up your inflate port after you deflate your kite it will help keep it from stretching out. |
