I wish the Corbett sensor was up, it looks like RR might be going off...

I'm headed out in 15 minutes.

Remember to add 10 mph. . .So 24 from the east. Looking mighty fine.

Don't know about going off, usually see much stronger Troutdale forecast than this for good RR

Yeah, the ikite sensor is reading in the teens so I bet RR is blowing pretty good.

East wind at stevenson = stronger east wind at rooster so it's definitely going off right now. Tell us how late it blows, and if the big beach is back yet. I'm hoping I can get some action tomorrow after work since Frenchman's bar hasn't put out since spring.

Dunno, troutdale is NW 6

Like I said its probably going just not going enough to be worth it. Same direction current and wind, you want it to be 25+ mph

Could be totally wrong though. The IWindsurf sensor is showing gusts to 16, and that's probably in the parking lot.

I've been meaning to ask: what's the seasonality like at rooster?
When (what months) do people get those AM sessions?
thanks

Spring and Fall are usually the best. Fall is better since there's a huge beach vs. no beach in Spring. Sep-Oct can be good. Last October I got about 4 great dawn patrol sessions in and I didn't even ride half the time it was good I don't think.

98 degrees, wind on the trees, more than a few chicks w/out clothes and plenty of steez, 1/2 dozen homies riding the steady, non-gusty, breeze. 12-13 C's and or 13 to 14 sle's. Too many Viet Schlong (VS) running in and out of the trees. Luckily, there was massive amount of moon-scape beach to avoid encounters with the VS you sees. Cold tasty PBR's, post sess, chilling in the cooler, up in the parking lot with no more breeze.

PS: 2 cases of PBR 4 sale at Fred Meyer for $12 plus deposit. . .while supplies last.
