I have been riding strapless for a month now due to a bad knee. Last night I was out solo at rufus on a 6'2" surfboard and I started to try some jumps. I find you gotta really point upwind before you release, kite at about 11, then pop, sign to 12, dangle with bottom of board facing wind, hover, sign kite down....and stick it! I did my first sesh of strapless at the hatch on a 6-2 surfboard and I was surprised at how well I did. Honestly I thought that I would end up in a total debauchedly f'd up self spaghetti pile but I didn't. It changed my whole perspective on board and kite skills. Funny thing is I remember seeing Hein at rufus, it was 2006, and he was on a strapless SB and I asked him,"hey why no straps?" Do you remember that Heinster? You said, " I hurt my foot." I then sat there and watched him shred for about an hour on that surfboard and thought, "that looks fun." Now everybody is doing including me. Sheep, _________________ Hey, I'm being hahahahahrassed!
