Awesome job by everyone. Huge Kudos to Garrett and Tonia for creating an event that brings out the best in people Can't believe the totals of fund raising we had this year, super impressive!!

I hadn't planned on going the full 6 hours for the endurance race, but since we had the $2 per lap sponsor, thought I would do my part. Here are my totals for the race.

Just under 89 miles and it looks like 18 laps. I need to be a little more efficient next year Smile

Try to stay on the south side of hwy 14 next year! You'll go faster! Smile

Cool to see the gps graph. Can you limit it to just certain times? Anyway to see how a single or typical lap went?

Yeah, if I hit the lap button when I went around, I just kept forgetting to do that Smile

You can also zoom in pretty tight, which is how I counted the number of laps I did. I think I was the most in-efficient kiter out there today Smile

Cool pics, awesome event... super cool vibe at KB4C!

Congrats Tony, won with style, though we didn't see you at the after party (guessing you were tired?)

Cool pics! Just out of curiousity, Jim... Are you taking those close-up shots (like the one of Jim and Janet/Nicole) with the sunshade on your lens? I know that 18-200 is pretty long to begin with.

Would someone please post the results.... Itching to see who concoured! From Phil's post it looks like Tony B won. Way to go dude! You have really been putting out some hardcore effort on these events lately and it's great to see you score man! Big congratulations Tony! Kick Ass! You da man brother! Guess that swim to the Washington side last week in the dulldroms finally came around in the form of good karma. Super glad to see you get the goods!

Thanks Wally! That was a long swim last week!

Yeah, just a little tired last night Phil. Went and got some food and when I stood up from the table that was it - game over! Legs are just a little tired this morning!

Thanks to all the volunteers, lap counters, photogs, and jet ski rescue crews. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

Not sure if we're going to kite today - or sit in the hot tub. Smile

Tony

Yep, I took all those shots yesterday with the lens hood on. It was actually the first time I have used it. I stuck it on more for protection yesterday. The one with Nichole and Janet I was standing in the sun so you see my shadow on them.

Congrats Tony!

Congrats to all the kiters who were out there for the full 6 hours!

The girls rocked it this year again as well, not to far from the boys..... Yeah man....

And of course, great job to my hubby:-) On the water for the full 6 hours, helped with getting some boards to people and one person with their kite, did the long jump and still was able to get in 18 laps on the lunacy....

It was a beautiful site to see all the ribbons on the kites, and as special as it is was to have those white ribbons flying, I truly felt it was just an amazing feeling to be in the presence of so many survivors with their yellow ribbons flying on their kites.

Thanks to GG&T for all their work!!!!!!

Thanks to all the volunteers for a smooth event!!!!!!!

And well, I'm a little biased for the jet ski support team;-) Way to go team... LOL!!!! It was a very busy day for sure, and my body was definintely feeling it today. We broke NAK in.... He is no longer a kite rescue virgin... Go NAK! Thanks for your patience as I was trying to yell over the wind to explain what to do as I was going back and forth between kiters, you are such a great support!

Hope everyone is recovering well.....

Boarderchick-You are right- thanks for all the volunteers who helped put all of this together. From the people who helped get the athletes registered, to the silent auction, the BBQ and beer garden, parking, launching and landing kites, jet ski support, counting laps, driving the boat and everyone else who just asked- "what can I do to help?"

And mostly thanks to Tonia and Gregg. Tonia put in hundreds of hours to make this a day to be proud of- and it was

Big props to Garret and Tonia for putting on such a fun event. It was nice to see so many people coming together to help others hopefully live a little bit better! I was very proud to be part of such a powerful event.
