This is how Janet and I have been getting to Lyle forever. Stupid people parking on the wrong side of the tracks and causing issues with the railroad will soon turn this into our own private launch.

A-friggin-men! Coming at all of this from a climbing background (climbing, as you can imagine, is rife with access issues), I've seen all too many situations where a couple young guys with testosterone poisoning and a sense of entitlement with regard to "sticking it to the Man" wind up pissing in everyone else's well. Once litigation enters the picture, it becomes an unworkable scenario pretty quickly. The climbing community's response to this ultimately gave us the Access Fund, which I suppose could be seen as a more specialized, single-issue equivalent to the CGWA/CGKA. I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this, but are there any kiters out there who happen to be attorneys?

Perhaps there's a silver lining to this after all... Very Happy

But someone in the crowd stated that it's impossible to paddle from the east side of the Klickatat R. because that's Indian land.

Is it correct that the little old boat ramp in what used to be called "the Cove" is Indian owned, and therefore off limits for a person to launch a kayak?

That boat ramp is only a couple of hundred feet up-river from the Klick.
