Cracked a rib at work yesterday . Still going to give it a try though, anybody ever tried wearing a waist harness with bad ribs? Im thinking the torque will be less on snow than water? It will help to be under powered, but the lift on the spreader bar takes the breath away every time. If you can wrap your chest with some ace bandage beforehand it will help. Arnica gel will take away any swelling/bruising. The terrain looks to be pretty mellow so that should help.
