That's what I was saying but got overruled (full moon, flood tide, looked to be peakin when we would be coming in....) to the teams credit there was 50 yards of sand there when we landed, until it vanished

be smart to live another day.....
Winter sessions are not to be takin lightly...... there are plenty for the needy tho.
Anytime noaa calls for ten feet or more its serious (seriously fun). If they call for 30 kts or more probably risky....... caution...
Memorable moments for sure body dragging for board in 3+ foot foam listening to the drift logs bumping into each other.....= spooky
Maybe wear a board with straps
And waves never look big from the beach..

The satellite dish blew off my roof, so we went kiting
Kinda intense - did see 70 on the clatsop meter as we pulled up at noon- consulted with CrazyC but he still really wanted to go full retard
- seaside to del ray - the south wind setup some decent down the line surf and the pea sized hail groomed the sea state nicely
Some batshit mother fucka was walking down the beach past gearhart in the driving hail - sailed in to check it out - and he took my picture - hit me with a huge camera flash - crackin huge purple - he dives to the ground as the thunder rocks the beach - sailed in and called it a day
CrazyC soldiered on, pointing to clearer skies - a thing of beauty

Way to charge it CrazyC aka Hot Carl. You're lucky and please remember that pigs eat well and hogs get slaughtered! Sounds like Mother Nature gave you a pass from an ass whooping.

Newport was super fun in late afternoon today when the wind turned due west. We were doing mindbending speed reaches running parallel to the beach line for up to a mile from Agate Cove to the Wayside. With the 25 ft swell it was stopping all the open ocean storm slop from making it to the inside where it was setting up beautiful butter smooth slicks in between the surges. These slicks were as smooth as glass and would run the entire length of the beach at times. A few moments later the place would morph into a wave field when the foam lines and surges would move thru the playing field, this allowed for onshore wave bashing similar to the Gorge on a big day, but the swells were breaking.Totally lit on the 7m Rally with strong and steady 30 knots of wind. Definitely one of the best west wind days I have seen around here. Sorry no pics this time as I was racing daylight to get out there.
