Supposed to late afternoon. With the heat in the valley I am sure it will blow!

I'm surprised it's only a .01 differential right now.

Pretty decent incoming tide today until 7:30pm... if the wind is marginal, incoming tides don't help.

I don't have the choice to go out today, but even if I did, I wouldn't. Pressures are just not looking too favorable. I'd probably take my chances somewhere else...

Mike is pretty much spot on most of the time, so I would follow his advice. What do you think about tomorrow Mike?

I don't know about the "spot on" part - I just know when I don't feel confident enough for the long drive out there.

Tomorrow is looking to be an interesting case. It should be southerly winds, and at least somewhat cloudy at the coast. I've found that sometimes leads to stronger winds at Jones than you might otherwise expect. It could depend on how far inland the clouds push. Sometimes it looks like it's not going to go, but then it switches on in a hurry,

On the other hand, the southerlies might be strong enough along the north coast for a downwinder at Fort Stevens.

I live 2 hours away and was going to go there the last two days, and should have . my friends told me it was really fun 12 m. It kept saying 6 at cathlamet but then when it was too late for me to leave here it would bump up to 10~12. Out of the last 7 days 6 were good. pretty consistent with the forecast they gave. I went last tues. for the first time and now Im addicted. going to try to hit it up next week.
