Are you referring to our snow kite trip? I hit the bottom power line straight on with my kite and it bounced right off. The "grass was greener" on the other side of the power lines - so we "flew" our kites under the lines...... - I didn't see the bottom wire - LOL...... Snowkiting it was most likely you it the MGN or ground wire beneath three other wires. The three wires above the wire you hit most likely have 50,000 volts or more. Not all power transmission lines even have a grounding wire.
